ripple search – a work in progress

Thanks for all your feedback and thoughts on how we can make ripple better.

We’ve had quite a lot of feedback about adding more googlish features to the ripple search including search localisation (ie limit my search to USA) and image search.

Rest assured that ripple HQ is hard at work on a solution to these issues, hopefully we’ll have some good news to report soon.

We’ve just added some new and exciting widgets which you can use to ripplitise your myspace, blog or google homepage.

Check them out! We’re particularly excited about the new “splashponds” which you can use to turn your myspace or blog into a mini-ripple site. Just add the button and people who click will be fighting poverty from your little corner of the internet….

Week 1

Our first week has just come to an end and what a week it’s been! In our first week we received enough visitors to:

Provide 7 people with access to clean water and sanitation for life;
Give seven years of education to 6 children in East Timor;
Maintain more than $500,000 in micro-finance loans for a day; and
Set up more than 60 market gardens in Cambodia to provide nutritious food to a village.
